Kai is highly professional and extremely talented at both playing piano and teaching patiently. Within the first lesson, I realized the significant value he offers and I think anyone would be crazy not to consider.

Working with Kai Alexander School of Music has been the best decision I have made on my musical journey! As an adult learner, Kai makes this stuff accessible and fun! His ear is incredible, he is kind, and he knows his music up and down. Kai meets you where you are at and uses that as a jumping off point. His focus on basics and making things simple (not easy) are like keys to the castle. Kai is adept at teaching in multiple different styles and genres. I want to learn jazz language and improvised music and his ability to break things down, provide simple exercises, and explain complex musical ideas in a way that illuminates the pathway forward are priceless. I am super impressed with his ability to teach virtually as well. I am a public school teacher and his ability to use technology to enhance the experience is impressive to say the least. All in all Kai is an excellent teacher; I look forward to our lessons every week. Thank you Kai!

"Kai Alexander instilled a true love of music in my daughter! His open ended approach encourages students to use their own creativity to explore music."

Kai has done a wonderful job with our kids, they are excited to go to piano lessons each week (something I always dreaded as a child). He empowers his students to choose songs they want to learn which helps them stay engaged. He keeps the interested and builds upon skills over time.

"Mr. Kai is a very thoughtful and nurturing teacher. He works with them at any level and through positive reinforcement fosters their talent. My child was excited about learning and even felt confident enough to help others who were new to the piano. Kai is awesome."
Being legally blind has allowed Kai to develop a fail proof curriculum that involves playing the piano comfortably without the crutch of written music.
His techniques are present in most everything we hear and his students can play in any key.
Reading music notation is encouraged and is taught after the student is comfortable at the instrument.
Lets take a look at what we will be uncovering as beginners to find the triads :)

Whether you are beginning or advanced, learn something new and a fail proof approach to better playing.
Virtual online class tools make it much easier to understand and comprehend, plus you'll actually see the piano keys light up as the instructor plays & talks you through everything.
I have students from L.A to D.C so being flexible with time is a must
